You don't have to search for today's destination on the map. From Cuzco you get to Puno after a 400 km. journey. From there you can get to lake Titikaka close to the border with Bolivia.

When we are about 300 km. away from Puno, the night starts falling, so we are looking for a place to camp. We pass by some villages, but noone seems fit. We see a sign that says "To Four Lakes" and we unanimously decide to go there.

After seven km we are at an altitude of about 4.000 m. and we see the lakes, three of which as we find out later have fresh water and the fourth salty.
